About the Project
Oklahoma Trails is a 7-acre naturalistic habitat that interprets the 11 different “life zones” of the state and features more than 70 species of mammals, birds, reptiles and fish.
Each life zone is a themed experience of its own. Geography, flora and fauna are unique and educate guests about the diversity of native Oklahoma. Bobcats, mountain lions, and deer roam the rocky panhandle. Native songbirds and waterfowl dart about the aviary, coyotes and wolves sneak about the bushes. Out on the suspended boardwalk, bison roam the tallgrass prairie, black and brown bear forage through the great oak forest and gators lounge in the swamp near the 25-foot replica of Turner Falls.
