Kenna joined WDM after impressing the team during her summer internship with her multidisciplinary interests, and natural empathy—traits that align perfectly with WDM’s design values. Kenna has a minor in Horticulture, and blends her love of people and plants into every project. Whether designing for human wellness or exploring animal-focused spaces in zoo environments, she brings a nature-forward, community-rooted mindset to her work.
She’s a fourth-generation resident of Norwich (population of 500), where family is everything—especially when several generations pack houses to the brim on holidays and just about every other weekend. Kenna grew up surrounded by this supportive, tight-knit community and thrives on that same energy at WDM. Her passion for design is deeply tied to her faith, which inspires her to lead with compassion and connection in all things.
“To design is to be empathetic—to truly understand and care for everyone touched by a space, from clients to communities, creating environments filled with love and connection,” says Kenna.
Her phone case says “Are you gonna eat that pickle?”—a nod to her intense passion for pickles (except sweet pickles, which she calls an abomination, disgusting, unsettling, unnatural).

Avid fantasy reader—often reads a book a day on trips
Loves animals (yes to spiders, no to worms!)
An impromptu portfolio review huddled around a phone with Stan and Drew convinced her that WDM was the place for her
