WDM Architects is excited to welcome Cami Ewing to the team! A recent graduate of Kansas State University with her Master of Architecture degree, Camila brings both creativity and curiosity to her new role. Her passion for design sparked early—building houses in video games as a kid—and only grew stronger after taking high school architecture classes. While she once considered a career in art, she found the perfect blend of creativity and structure in architecture. One of Cami’s most meaningful college experiences was studying abroad in Italy, which inspired her dream of restoring castles across Europe into museums and cultural landmarks.
After reviewing dozens of student portfolios, Cami’s talent stood out to WDM’s principals immediately. Her thoughtful design approach and strong communication skills made an even stronger impression during her interview, quickly becoming a top candidate for hire, and we’re thrilled to have her on board. She chose WDM for its diverse projects, welcoming team, and hands-on opportunities across all phases of design.
Cami’s favorite sport to play is tennis, but when it comes to watching sports, she’s a devoted Packers fan—though she hasn’t bought a cheesehead yet (but says she should).
She has traveled to seven countries across North and South America and Europe, with Italy being her favorite.
Cami used to visit family in Argentina annually and loves the country’s slower pace of life and strong emphasis on rest and quality time with loved ones. One of her favorite memories from Argentina is making homemade empanadas with her family.
She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Cami plays six instruments, with piano and cello being her favorites.
Her favorite art medium is oil paint, and she especially enjoys painting portraits
In her free time, she loves being outdoors, relaxing with friends, and spending time with her cat.
