Project Description
Wonder is a private school with an open and dynamic learning environment. Prioritizing curiosity over compliance, students are immersed in real-world experiences through the use of professional tools for art, engineering, technology and storytelling.
WDM partnered with Wonder to transform an existing office building into a larger campus for the growing student population. It is organized into six large studios which are interconnected with large sliding glass walls to foster collaboration and idea exchange among students of all ages. Glass walls also connect the circulation commons to the studios to further enhance the ability for all students to observe and draw inspiration from their peers’ activities.
Wonder’s innovative approach to education is enhanced by this unique building conversion which mirrors their commitment to providing an environment which nurtures creativity and lifelong learning.
