Wellington Humane Society

About the Project

In 2019, the Wellington Humane Society moved into its new building. The much-needed facility can accommodate up to 27 dogs and 40 cats with necessary holding areas, food pantry and prep areas, laundry and offices. Each of the 27 dog kennel spaces has a glass door to see the dogs from the lobby, a bed, a doggie door, an individual run and a gate to access larger play areas outside. Cats have two cat colonies and individual holding crates or isolation spaces for the newly acquired felines that are under observation and treatment. Additionally, a fully-equipped veterinary suite with an exam room, surgery, office, waiting room and animal holding for pre- and post-surgery is available to establish a veterinary practice.
