About the Project

The location of Warren Riverview Park was formerly a public works yard with a 12-foot riverfront bluff. WDM landscape architects transformed it into a beautiful gateway park for Derby through the use of terracing to open up views and provide river access for fishing, kayaking and skipping stones. An “adventure” playground designed primarily for teens and adults offers unique climbing experiences. An interactive stream invites children of all ages to explore, move water, and get hands-on with the beautiful natural surroundings. Warren Riverview Park includes an event venue for up to 80 people designed in the style of National Park Lodges. A large deck offers sweeping views of the Arkansas River.
