About the Project
WDM Architects worked closely with the City of Manhattan on a new state-of-the-art, sustainably designed entry and education facility at the local Sunset Zoo. The Nature Exploration Center houses administrative offices, meeting and event space, classrooms and a lab space for visiting students. Admission services and the gift shop also find a home here. The new entry can better accommodate larger groups without congestion and creates a better traffic flow when arriving and exiting the zoo.
WDM services included architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and acoustic engineering, along with construction documentation, procurement and construction administration.
