About the Project

WDM’s Pride of the Plains exhibit offers an immersive guest experience featuring lions, meerkats, warthogs, and African hunting dogs. A kopje rock theme and a branch of the “Zambezi River” flow through all exhibits. Combined, they weave together the story of two young male lions separated from their mother and their search for food. A safari station educates the public about ongoing research for the survival of African species.
