About the Project
The City of Derby needed a new facility for the administration and equipment shop functions of the Public Works Department.
The WDM design includes:
- A clerestory vaulted entrance
- Employee training room with A/V
- Multiple conference rooms
- A “strengthened structure” storm shelter
- Suspended mezzanines
- Equipment wash bays
- Clerestory natural lighting is featured in the shop area
The site also contains various utility structures for equipment and bulk materials storage. The admin/shop is comprised of site-cast tilt-up concrete panels with metal panel accents.
