Sterling House

The Sterling House concept revolutionized senior care living in the early to late 1990’s. The idea was to offer a truly different senior living establishment that separated itself from the traditional “institutional” feel of previous senior facilities. Floor plans included private apartments along with large areas for socializing, dining and entertaining. For those individuals that required extra care the facilities were designed to accommodate assistance with bathing, dressing, basic grooming, daily hygiene, dining, and mobility/transportation needs. The design catered to the various needs of all the residents, while complying with health codes and regulations mandated by local and state jurisdictions. WDM was responsible for the design of over 240 facilities and was the Architect of Record for over 135 of the facilities.
