Harvester Apartments

The heavy timber wood structure originally housed the International Harvester dealership in the warehouse district east of downtown Wichita, now designated as the Old Town District. Restoration included window replacement (matching the original configuration) the original wood entry doors and transom and extensive masonry repair. The large wooden beams and columns are exposed within the apartments. Metal pan ceilings at the original offices on the second floor were preserved. Loft bedroom units with minimum walls and raised sleeping platforms proved very popular. The project also included addition of an underground garage and 50 street-level parking spaces.
